Adam Stubley

Adam Stubley

Adam was born in Huddersfield, England in May 1964 and grew up in an artistic family.

After leaving school, he worked as a Blacksmith and a Sheetmetal-worker and later turned to woodwork. After a years motorcycle overland journey through Europe, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Nepal and India in 1986, he settled in southern Germany and started a family. There he gathered ten years experience in furniture restoration.

Since the year 2000, Adam works in the trade fair branch, which takes him to the major cities in Europe, where he collects ideas for his artwork. He also likes to take inspiration from nature by combining metal, stone, wood and water.

After attending a summer course in metal sculpture at the European Academy of Fine Arts in Trier and a year later an artists retreat in Cill Rialaig, Kerry / Ireland, he has concentrated more on his art work.

He lives and works in Türkenfeld, 40 km southwest of Munich and north of lake Ammersee.

Adam exhibited regularly at the Trevor Stubley Gallery with his father in Holmfirth, West-Yorkshire / England.
